PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

From the President:

The tournament committee is now in the process of developing next years schedule. A variety of formats have been developed to keep the year interesting and challenging, your input is encouraged. In reviewing tournament participation to date, the committee has noticed that participation in those computer paired aren’t as popular as many of the other formats. If you would like to see some of these replaced, let the committee know. Your input can be very helpful to them.

This tournament season there also seems to be an increasing number of no shows, 4 on July 21.  Unfortunately for the committee, none of them called. This created additional work since this was a team event. It also meant that 4 groups played with 3. This could have impacted pace of play and enjoying the round. Due to this on going problem the Board has implement a new policy that addresses the issue. Please review the changes under “Tournament Policy” for complete details.

Anyone of us may have a reason to cancel out of tournament, we just ask that you notify one of the tournament committee members if you have to. In an emergency on the day of the tournament you can call the pro shop. The tournament committee spends a lot of time putting these events together to make it enjoyable for the rest of us, lets support them by letting them know about cancellations and advising them of new and interesting formats.
