TOURNAMENT POLICY       Revised 11/14/11

The Tournaments will normally start at 7:00 AM with 7 foursomes per hour starting on the 1st tee.  When you enter you may include on the form your preference of Early (before 8:00), Mid (Before 9:00), Late (after 9:00). Whenever possible the requested pairing and preference will be met. The foursomes are assigned at the discretion of the Tournament Chairman.   Marshalls will time groups as they complete the 9th hole and the 18th hole.  You must put the flag back in the hole in no more than 15 minutes from when the previous group replaced the flag OR you must be on your expected pace of play which will be 2:20 for the front 9 and 2:20 for the back 9.  If your group is 15 minutes behind previous group AND behind expected pace of play will have a TWO shot penalty for each person in the group.  Delay of play penalties may be appealed to the committee.

NCGA qualifiers, 4 Man Team and the Championship Tournament will be played from the White Tees.  All other Tournaments player may declare Blue, White or Yellow tees on entry form.   These will be played with the NCGA multi tee rule.  (Handicaps determine flight.  No flights for specific tees.  2-Man events from same tee.  Pairings from same tee.)

The Club has a specific number of tee times for each tournament.  Additional times are available before 15 days prior to a tournament. The entries close at noon (WEDNESDAY) SEVEN (7) days before a Tournament date. You may still play in the Tournament by giving your name and phone number to the Tournament Chairman and being put on a wait list. You will be entered in place of a withdrawal or you will be placed after the last scheduled tee time if possible. Pairings and tee times will be posted on the Website.  The Website will have the latest information about Tournaments

It is the player's responsibility to sign his scorecard and turn it into the scorers. Failure to do so disqualifies a player from placing in the prize fund for that tournament. Sign-up forms for upcoming tournament(s) will be available on line and with rules of tournament.

Once the PAIRINGS have been made and you withdraw from a tournament you forfeit your entry fee ($5), regardless of when you withdraw.   If withdrawal from a tournament is 48 hours or less before the first tee time and no replacement is found and the course makes us honor our tee time commitments you may be penalized the equivalent of your Green Fees.  This Penalty may also apply to No Shows and needs to be paid before entry in another tournament is permitted.  No Shows in addition, may have a 3-month tournament entry restriction and/or rejection of membership for three No Shows without notification.  The restriction being, if a tournament fills you will be put on a wait list.  Green fees and cart fees will be paid at the Pro Shop on the day of the Tournament.

The REFUND LIST will have your name, tournament and amount to be used at a future tournament for that year or to be issued quarterly with the “winnings” checks.  You are to write directions to use this refund on your entry form of a future Tournament.

In case of inclement weather, call the course the morning of the event to confirm whether or not the event will proceed.  The decision to play will be made early enough to allow players to make their starting times.  A lottery draw will take place for NCGA Qualifiers if Tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather.

The FLIGHT WINNERS will be issued checks quarterly. All TIES to be broken by the NCGA method.  Ties are to be broken by comparing scores over the last nine, last six, last three and last hole, and finally match handicapped holes 1 thru 18, until a winner is determined.
